Potential in stillness.
Intention in movement.
Yin Yoga nourishes the dense connective tissue of the body through stillness in poses to enjoy increased flexibility and inner state of surrender.
Yang Yoga, such as Vinyasa, nourishes the muscles through rhythmic and progressive movement in poses to enjoy increased strength and a clear mind.

Kathy Páez (E-RYT 500) international teacher and teacher trainer since 2012. Born in Costa Rica and moved around frequently during her childhood. Moved to Spain to study fashion design in 2000, and started practicing Yoga in 2001 as a way to relieve anxiety. In 2003, Kathy started teaching at Yoga Studio Barcelona, where she also received her first Yoga Teacher Training. After a transformational study with Paul Grilley in Yin, and a Vinyasa flow with Shiva Rea, she became a pioneer in bringing Yin and Vinyasa Yoga to Spain; where she teaches in Barcelona, Madrid, and the Canary Islands.
Kathy has had the honor of teaching celebrities and elites such as Ramstein, the countess Godó, amongst others. She has taught Corporate Yoga at Bulgari and Hearst magazine offices. Her method is non-dogmatic, pedagogic and meditative. She lives and shares Yoga as an eternal dance between Yin (moon) & Yang (sun).
Grateful to have practiced and studied Yoga with various teachers, training on an ongoing basis with her most influential teachers, Paul Grilley (Yin Yoga), Suzee Grilley (Yang Yoga) from whom she receives continuous development and inspiration on Yin Yoga, anatomy, philosophy and meditation. She has also studied under Sara Powers (Yin & Yang Yoga), Baba Hari Dass from Mount Madonna Center (classic Patanjali Ashtanga), Kamalesh (classic Ashtanga), Shiva Rea (Vinyasa Yoga), Hojung Audenearde (Ashtanga Vinyasa), Rolf Naujokat (Ashtanga Vinyasa) and Mark Whitwell (Vini Yoga). Her curiosity for the beautiful language in which the practice was first divulged led her to study Sanskrit for several years under Dr. Elena Sierra, at the University of Barcelona.
She currently enjoys a tender life in Santa Cruz, California with her husband, son and Chihuahua.
