Join Kathy for a transformative 2-hour online workshop created to help you go beyond the Yin Yoga shapes and into deeper, internal landscapes of the mind (the subtle body). Discover how to use mindfulness and interoceptive awareness to anchor attention and enrich your Yin Yoga experience.

We’ll begin with an insightful presentation on the neural benefits of meditation and introduce practical techniques for cultivating mindfulness. You’ll gain a holistic understanding of how to teach Yin Yoga with greater depth as we review the five koshas and the three-body Yogic view of human experience.

Course Features
Presentation & Theory. A comprehensive overview of mindfulness, meditation, and the subtle body in Yin Yoga.
Sequence Overview. Understand the purpose and variations of each Yin Yoga pose we’ll practice.
Guided Yin Yoga Practice. Experience a full sequence with different mindfulness techniques woven into each pose.
Direct Q&A with Kathy. A live opportunity to ask questions and get personalized insights.

Course Outcomes
By the end of this workshop, you will:
• Have a basic understanding of the neural benefits of meditation.
• Know which Yin Yoga poses best complement mindfulness themes.
• Be able to apply specific meditation techniques designed to stabilize and focus the mind during long Yin Yoga holds, consisting of:
– Heart-centered metta (loving-kindness) phrases aligned with the breath
– A present-moment awareness mantra
– Two forms of breath awareness counting
